Friends of the Earth II

Recently I've read a text writen by an organisation called "Friends of the Earth"; it describes the bad effects of the global warming and gives some examples of this major problem, like rising of temperatures and sea levels, hotter summers, wetter winters, floods and heat waves...
But with this "climatic crisis", we aren't the true victims; I think they are the poorer countries.
The developing world will be more affected by global warming because they don't have the same conditions that western countries do, they subsist with a market based on agricultural resources which is dependent on the weather so, as the weather is changing, some agricultural products won't be produced and that origins starvation; the western countries transform the sources that come from developing countries; without resources, there's no exports; and without exports, there's no money and they get poorer. And all that (drought and a market based on agricultural resources) leads to infectious diseases that can be spreadly easiy.

I think the aim of the organisation when writing the article was to encourage people to face the problem without so much "glee and reaching for the tanning lotion", because our behaviour is similar to "well, the temperature is getting hotter, there's a global warming, let's see the bright side, I don't like rain, now I can go to the beach more often!" Well, most of us also don't like rain, but I think that, more than hot days, we like to live in a healthy planet. Who doesn't like to live on the planet? We have to choose between hotter days to go to the beach (the problem is that without a planet there's no beach) or have a life with quality and enjoy what the Earth always wanted to offer us; but we don't embrace that opportunitiy.
When writing the text, the organisation wanted to show the other side of the coin, how deadly global warming can be and if the developing countries are suffering a great part of the problem (for now), soon it will come to us; and when it occurs, there's no machine, car or station that can save us.
